Help me not be some kind of -ite, -ist, or -anian. Keep me from misplacing my loyalties with this man or that! Some say they are Paul or some from Apollos or from Cephas, but I say I am of Christ.
1 Cor 1: 12-15
What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas"; still another, "I follow Christ."
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized intothe name of Paul? I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name.
We think of the church body as a small congregation that we attend, but the real deal is we are in the church body of Christ. With this word we as believers should be able to encourage and love each other, knowing who we are for, CHRIST!
